Hi, I’m Collin. My aim is to help you address problematic ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving by way of examining the ways in which you perceive the world around you. The goal is to assist you in reaching a position of appreciation for your genuine self (for you are the perfect you!) and an acceptance of the events that occur in your life. I would be honored to take part in your journey of discovering the narratives which potentially distort reality and lead to discomfort, diminished self-worth, or other barriers to attaining contentment.
In over 10 years of experience, I have facilitated treatment for a wide range of problems, and I approach the therapeutic relationship with a warm disposition, openness, as well as lightheartedness and humor. I have trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps people recognize faulty ways of thinking that lead to unpleasant emotions, but I tend to employ a variety of therapeutic interventions, particularly those related to mindfulness and self-compassion training.
Together, we can develop a practice of becoming nonjudgmental and being present in moment rather than getting caught up in things that have previously occurred or projecting what might lie ahead.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, my wife Christina and I relocated to Burlington in 2022 after spending five wonderful years in Flagstaff, Arizona. We find Burlington to be an attractive amalgam of what we missed about living in a larger city and the abundant access to nature that Northern Arizona offered. I enjoy wandering in the woods and trail running, cooking and eating vegan food, classic alternative music, and traveling.
I would be happy to address your inquires over a no-cost, telephonic or video chat consultation. Please call or text me at (802) 497-6003 if you would like to chat, or you may submit your questions to me via the "Schedule Now” button below. I have opened a new office for in-person visits in downtown Burlington at 35 King Street in 2022!
